Le Marquis was Parolio´s first interior design project in Madrid. As with all his following projects Le Marquis naming, concept and look and feel was created by the designer and acquired rapidly the “place to be” reputation in the city. With more than 50 TV appearances and hundreds of press featured articles, the restaurant was used as a stage to interview movie stars, film TV series and as a venue for the most sophisticated parties in the city.
The concept was a mix between the 50´s burlesque films and French boudoir with a modern and humorous take. With it pastel colors, corseted chairs, mirrored tables, photographic murals and ceilings and a collection of Swarovski crystal fetish items, Le Marquis enchanted Madrid until is closing in 2010.
